Their attorney is about to get a lesson on what private, voluntary organizations can do with their membership requirements.

I wouldn't surprised if somehow, in some way, some small amount of State or Federal funding makes its way to this school. In which case, Game Over.

Hmm. The article tries to make it sound like a perverted principal framed two innocent little girls. No mention of what brought them to his attention in the first place--rumors of snogging in the coatroom? Improper behavior of some sort? Also, of course, a complete blackout on whether or not the girls are, in fact, lesbians...

I agree that the school has every right to enforce its own "membership requirements." I think the suit is ridiculous to put it mildly. I wonder what other behavior the girls did to make them "suspect." There's almost a funny irony here. I have long maintained that those who are not adults cannot properly decide if they are of any "alternative" sexual orientation. This almost seems to say that they can. I do hope that all the boys that may have a high voice or maybe some effeminate characteristics (then again I consider guys wearing earrings to be demonstrating this too) who are not "gay" don't get rounded up.

"The school is claiming the girls were expelled because their conduct wasn't within the Christian code. But at the same time, (the school) has students who aren't Christians and are even Jewish."
What a dope!
Christians and Jews both share the Old Testament and it is VERY CLEAR that same sex, sexual attraction is considered an ABOMINATION.
Throw em OUT!
It's a private school and they have the right to enforce timeless rules. They should be shamed and humiliated.

I've never understood the personality and mindset that would sue to force a group or location to accept you when they clearly would rather not have you.
I also notice that the characterization is not denied.
Aren't perverts wonderful?

The truth is they would be happier in a public school where this is prized behavior.

"...the expulsion traumatized and humiliated them"It wasn't the expulsion that did that. It was the fact that they were "outed". They must not be terribly proud of their, ahem, "orientation".

"Their entire support network was pulled out from under them because of suspicions about their sexual orientation," said Hanson, who declined to say whether his clients are lesbians.Uh-huh. In other words, this private Lutheran school upheld Christian values and you know that to be the truth.
To: stocksthatgoup
the school's principal, Gregory Bork, called the girls into his office, grilled themA very hot interrogation ...........
