Just about perfect in describing Calvin.
Calvin Coolidge was pretty boring but I don't think he was a bigot; every native in New Hampshire is a sourpuss.
I get a kick out of the knuckleheads here who quote Calvin as an authority on anything, really.
He was very smart, said some wise things, and was rightfully disgusted with the corruption.
But: (1) he conflicted himself repeatedly (you can mine quotes from him all day long) and (2) he generally referred to Roman Catholics as "papists" and "Mary-worshippers" "idolators" etc., which is hardly constructive.
