Let me clarify. He wouldn't do it to get a cheap laugh.

At least I don't think He would. But I could be wrong.

One thing I'm not wrong about, though, is that if the creators of South Park thought they could get a cheap laugh out of a writing a scene where Jesus farts the Sermon on the Mount while carrying His own cross to His own death, they would.

And the South Parkers would laaaaaaaaugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.
