Actually, according to Catholic doctrine, that would have to be true. Menstruation and the pains of childbirth are considered part of the punishment laid down by God to Adam and Eve when he threw them out of Eden. This is original sin. Since Mary is the Immaculate Conception, that means she was born without the stain of original sin (since if she wasn't Jesus would have be the product of sin). If Mary is the Immaculate Conception, then she wouldn't have menstruated nor would she have experienced pain during the birth of Jesus.

I've been thinking. While it was hard on AA, it was far harsher on the people who believe that they're completely helpless against what ever addiction they are consumed by. And how they will often use that addiction as and excuse for destructive behavior.
And the only one in the episode with a modicum of intelligence was The Pope!
