"Most people, sometime in their lives, stumble across truth. And most jump up, brush themselves off, and hurry on about their business as if nothing had happened." Sir Winston Churchill

I believe this could be said of the cult of evolution if it is taken to mean that "we all came from a one-celled amoeba." I have absolutely no problem with the reasonable "if you are a black polar bear on an ice floe you will probably get killed first" idea. But when my 10th-grade biology teacher insinuated that we came from apes, that's where the line was drawn. Maybe my teacher was descended from an ape, but me? No thanks - I was made in the image of God. And for those who believe life on earth just "happened" over a period of 15 billion years or so, there is only explanation for the creation itself: God. And why not? To me, it is much more reasonable to believe in a supernatural being that created everything than to believe everything we see happened by chance, popping out of nowhere! One would have to agree that that is, indeed, as Hovind says, the dumbest (putting it mildly) theory on earth.

So basically you admit that you don't accept science not because it doesn't have the evidence behind it or because it isn't persuasive, but because it makes you feel kind of uncomfortable. Well, on behalf of the entire scientific community, I'd like to extend you my sincerest apology for having hurt your feelings. Now, out of curiosity, are you a liberal?

That's why evo is such a ridiculous theory! God says let there be LIGHT, but they don't buy that, but they'll believe SOMETHING exploded from NOTHING?

These same people who champion the theory would be the first ones to decry any halftruth in any other field!

They're duped with a little bit of truth that makes this illusion of evolution...and those are the most intellegent ones, it's really sad.
