John Walsh of America's Most Wanted: John is convinced that authorities botched case, they need FBI's help. ALE made hugh mistakes in the beginning.
John: They treated family so poorly. He doesn't think the family will ever get justice. Boycott is only way. It would be a big wakeup call. Boycott would grab purse strings - make them sit up and take notice.
John: It's inhumane how the family has been treated. We should boycott Aruba. They must change investigators and get help from FBI.
John: Unless they find the body, he doesn't think they will get answers. Even if her body is found - there will be no justice for Natalee. All the mistakes gave the 3 guys tickets to freedom.
When asked if he ever has gotten over the loss of his son, John said, "You will always be a parent of a murdered child - there is no closure. You never get over it."
John: Paul Van Der Sloot is a callous, arrogant jerk. He is so arrogant he doesn't realize the family is devastated.
When told that Joran is playing tennis in Holland, John says, "That's just so disgusting. The 3 should have been held in jail. Everybody in the world except ALE knows what happened to Natalee".
When asked if it is a great help to have John Walsh involved in case, Beth said, "It's a hugh relief for John Walsh to come forward".
When asked if cross has been dug up, Beth said she doesn't know. Dave brought cross to attention of authorities, But she doesn't know if authorities looked into it.
When asked if she knows who Joran's friend that has a boat is, Beth said, Yes, "Koon (sp?) is Joran's friend with the boat, which Joran has mentioned". The investigator Jacobs has messed up when Dave asked to have the Koon son picked up and questioned. Jacobs contacted the Koon father first - who could let the son know he was to be questioned.
When Beth was asked if she calls for a boycott, Beth said, "What needs to happen is Aruba needs to deal with its investigatory problems internally. It's not safe on that island".
NBC is showing a LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, a 2 - hour movie that parallels Natalie Holloway's case. Of course, it is "not based on actual events" but it is very obviously taken from the case.
