Isla resumes the burial of polluted sand
CURACAO The Isla-refinery has resumed the burial of bags with polluted sand. The Environmental Service (ES) had stopped this process in December of last year, after this paper had published pictures of this matter.
According to the ES, the sand is contaminated with used aluminum magnesium silicate, which is known for being oil and water absorbent. The ES was of the opinion that the bags could not just be dumped in holes, because they contain oil residue that can pollute the soil. After this, the process was idle for over a year.
The Amigoe published not long ago a picture of the partly decayed bags lying on the premises. Part of these bags was washed away by the rain. The Isla has resumed the burying of the bags and the holes are now lined with a blue, waterproof substance.
The contents of the decayed bags are being cleaned up and put in new bags. The refinery realizes that the restart of the process has taken too long.
In addition to the white bags, they are also burying barrels with ceramic balls. According to Richard Colastica of the Milieu department of the Isla, the ES doesnt need to give permission for the burial of the polluted sand and balls, because this is a standard procedure.
Sheba - tremendous stats huh?!!! Yup Hurricane Beth has hit Aruba. And I'm given to understand that she has "quote" gone from a size 6 to a size 0 "unquote. This is Beth's FULL TIME OCCUPATION. She WILL find the answers to where her beautiful daughter is and there WILL be HELL to pay one way or another.
What amazes me is that Aruba is willing to allow the Van der Sluts to RUIN the entire Island. Oh well!!
