GET OUT!!! OF ARUBA!!!
TAW
I hope you're right - it kind of sounds like Greta is a little wishy washy on it....
You are right, "that night".
Maybe the Aruban's manipulated the tape?
I hope the Dutch have not tampered with the tapes they got. I listened on Greta too, and almost everything that DK said was "inaudible". When greta mentioned the quality of the rendition, Arlene said something about Greta getting the tape over the phone.?? Greta said the hard disk would be a better rendition.
Arlene says she sees DK shake his head in the video while he says "No, she didn't". Hmmmm. I would have to see that to believe it.
Beth said she heard DK say "You would be surprised how simple it was that night."
The translation I saw on the screen was "You would be surprised how simple it would've been that night." Hmmmm, again.
Beth said, "Where are the tapes ALE made of all the interviews of all 3 suspects?", that "the cameras never were turned off". She said these tapes should have been given to FBI in July. Beth said on 8/5/05, Karin Janssen mentioned interview tapes and lied when she said they were released to FBI.
Beth did ask prosecutor for rape charges. Karin Janssen said she would bring sex charges, but did not do so.
Beth has hired Attorney John Q. Kelley, who handled the estate of Nicole Brown Simpson. Beth hopes Kelley can open communications line with Karin Janssen.
Beth said, "We would know nothing except for you (Greta) and media."
As opposed to other nights with Natalee? Other nights with other girls?
How many "other" nights were there?
Sheba, thanks for your summary of Greta's show. Deserves a ping. So Ping to 1364, ya'll

Good observation, Lucy.
Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas is backing boycott. He was on and when Rita asked him why he supports the boycott, he said, "I have a daughter - it's as simple as that... There is a need for us to stand with this family...Making people aware of family's grief and plight. He said there are unanswered questions about the releases of those arrested.
Gov. Huckabee also said if people are making vacation plans, think where to go - there are many wonderful places to go..
Eric Brete, chief protocol officer of Aruba said, "I don't understand the boycott...over an isolated incident." "Where are we going with this" ... "Boycott is out of this world."
If Arlene takes a fall then so does Aruba. After all she's their main spokesperson spouting their spin. She has made it clear where her info comes from...ALE.
If Aruba went so far as to manipulate the tape, then they are desperately covering up. They don't have the hardrive yet, but the FBI does. There will be no arguing the results from the FBI about the hardrive. So any tape tampering by Aruba will come back to haunt them.
I want to see what Skeeters has to say about the Aruban tape version released today.
I think there were many, many other nights. If you look at that nasty gang sign all these 'pimp' guys make in most of their pictures, it looks to me like a way of keeping score.
Eric Brete, chief protocol officer of Aruba said, "I don't understand the boycott...over an isolated incident."

Brete has it right about him not understanding.
It's not a matter of this being an isolated incident.
It's about a corrupt investigation.
Of course, I think he know this but can't say that because it wouldn't be good for their 'one happy island.' And to Arubans, nothing is more valuable than their little island economy. They care not one iota about a missing young lady.
Did anyone see the Barbara Walters show that Beth was to be on today?
This needs to be the first sentence of every travel brochure and the headlines of every Sunday newspaper travel section.
"Arlene says she sees DK shake his head in the video while he says "No, she didn't". Hmmmm. I would have to see that to believe it."
I can tell you a little bit about head-shaking in India and Sri Lanka.....maybe this is applicable in some other nearby countries and cultures, too.
In both countries I noticed that the head-shaking that means "yes" is not up-down-up-down like we do it. In fact the head-shake for yes is a snake-like undulation of the neck that displaces the whole head sideways without tilting or rotating it, the head remains vertical and facing forward at all times. Western visitors interpret "yes" as "no" until they get the hang of it or are told by someone.
One look at deepak and satish and their names indicates that their heritage goes to india or nearby, and that peculiarity of indian culture and body language might be a part of his family's life still.
Maybe not, but maybe so.......if so, arlene has proven herself fullofit again.
Snip...
Beth Twitty should be considered most influential not fascinating. That is the wrong word to describe Beth. She has been a pillar of strength fighting for answers to her daughter Natalees disappearance when many would have crumbled. Having met Beth personally, she is small in stature but has an inner strength matched by none. I told Beth and her family a while back, that I have never seen a family of a missing person kept in the forefront of the media month after month after month.
Not only did Natalee Holloway become all of our daughters, America adopted the Holloways & Twittys. Not only has Beth Twitty kept her daughters missing persons case alive and pressed an investigation in Aruba, she has also furthered other missing person cases. We are so quick to forget as the case has dragged on that this is a mother searching for her daughter. It is a parents worst nightmare.
This isnt about us, or the story. Its about a missing teenager named Natalee Holloway. People are so quick to say that Natalees case takes up all the attention or that its Pretty White Girl syndrome.
Those are people who have not paid attention and who have an agenda. If everyone has not noticed there has been more MSM air time for a multitude of missing person cases since Natalee Holloway went missing. This was never the case. The media exposure to many cases has been increased. Of course the Natalee Holloway gets more, it has been going on for nearly six months.
We may never know what happened to Natalee Holloway and to Beth and Natalees family we are sad. However, the legacy of Natalee Holloway is that she will bring more exposure and hope to families of missing persons. The media, internet and searchers have been put in the forefront of our minds.
Responsible people want to volunteer, help search, donate and put the word out so that people can be found and closure can be given to families. A greater awareness has come from all this.
To be a part of helping people that you have never met for the only reason, because it is the right thing to do. I learned this summer that there is no greater deed than volunteering to help someone in need who has lost someone that is so precious to them. That is what makes this story so captivating to many. Trying to help in whatever way and knowing that it could be you. Wouldnt you want the help as well?
Beth Twitty and the Natalee Holloway investigation will alter how the media covers these cases. We already see the beginning of it. If it can save one person or provide the necessary exposure and spotlight, it will have been a success.
When one looks at the big picture, pretty fascinating.
Very interesting insight.
