I think that for most respondents here, protecting access to guns is more important than trying to suppress marijuana. After all, we would suffer a grievous net loss if drugs and guns were both eliminated; and, while marijuana has not been fully suppressed despite being illegal, federal laws against gun commerce and ownership would be a terrible innovation with no end of harm for the law-abiding.

Can't disagree with your last post. Bottom line. It was a lousy question. The worst FR Poll Question ever. Linking drugs with firearms should have immediately raised a red flag for most folks, leading to the only rational answer possible, "Undecided/Pass".
