The evidence is overwhelming. Furthermore, everyone new that Nazis were homosexuals back then, but they failed to teach the following generations of that fact.

Now, every time I recall a WW2 or post-WW2 movie (like Exodus and how a European Jew confesses to his comrades that the Nazis raped him in a concentration camp) or even spoofs of Nazis (like in the Blues Brothers when the Illinois Nazis are plummeting to their deaths and one declares to the leader, "I always loved you."), it makes it quite clear that the world knew but failed to understand how serious the evil is.
