yup, I do I went by netcraft and they were wrong.

Either you're lying or you can't read or you're just lazy. I'm saying it's probably a combination of all three.

Here's the netcraft table for opensuse.org. www.opensuse.org shows basically the same thing; however, it has more of a history. Everyone knows netcraft can be wrong, so you must check the all the attributes and compare them to against common sense. But anyway if you look at this table below you'll see all you need on netcraft (the site you supposedly used).

and the point of subjecting encryption algorithms to public scrutiny is to find out if they are secure.

That's one way of stress testing them, even though a lot if not most have been cracked anyway. But the lynchpin of encryption security will always be maintaining the secrecy of the key. Are you not agreeing with that?

Let's see you first said... Im going off of netware, what are your sources?

Then you changed and said... Sure, I went by netcraft and they were wrong... point?

So which one is it? Are you mistaken before or are you mistaken now? Or are you still confused because netcraft shows it as being Linux.

Ouch...this one is going to leave a mark.

Im going off of netware, what are your sources?

See there you go again...

Let me recap it for you...I said in post #12,

fqc: "What are the chances the found a hole in SUSE Linux because the could read the source code? That can't be the reason why because the OSS crowd has assured me that the more eyes on code ensures that it's secure."

N3WBI3: "Umm the servers hacked were netware not Linux.."

So you tried a smug little misdirection in which you're trying to get the attention off linux (trying to hide the facts as Novell is doing).

What's important is what you didn't say. You could have said the servers were novell; however, it could have happened to Linux as well. But no your smug answer implies that it can't happen to Linux.

But wait there's more...you then post this garbage:

N3WBI3: "The hole which was the reason for this hacking had *0* to do with the GPL, Linux, or any of the other combustible turds you bring to threads. The hole was in a closed source operating system."

Let's see why would you point out that this hack had *0* to do with GPL or Linux unless you meant to imply Linux is obviously way more secure than closed source. In fact you even blamed closed source.

And that compustible turd just blew up in your face and you have sh!t all over you. This is classic. I'll need to book mark this one.

Nice recap. Then he accused me of being a shill, after posting that garbarge.

%s/netware/netcraft

I'm not one to over criticize typos...I do it all the time, but that's a pretty big typo and one that went uncorrected after you re-read. It didn't get corrected until I called you on it.

But even if you meant netcraft...it still shows apache suse linux for www.opensuse.org. Here's what I see on that page...Apache/2.0.49 Linux/SuSE Linux/SuSe I assume Means it's SuSe Linux, no? But then you have trouble understanding how similar a Windows Royalty Free license is to the PDF use license, so I should understand that you aren't able to read for understanding.

Interestingly, 1 server is running Linux, the 2 others running Netware. Sounds like someone's password got compromised.

Or gave it to a "friend".

Yes, it says: Apache/2.0.49 Linux/SuSE

Do you want to post something else today just to be proven wrong (again).

so you think its really odd that in a conversation about netware and netcraft the two might get mixed up?

Apache/2.0.49 Linux/SuSE

The webserver is all well and nice but what does it say under *OS*

Still clinging to the netcraft data that even mentions Linux? I've already given you the site where the hack was reported several times which indicates Linux. You're beyond a joke, especially when you refer to those of us blowing your propoganda away as shills.
