From Aruba Today, Friday August 19, 2005 … The following two front page articles pretty much tell a different story than the original allegations. Pretty amazing what news one can print when they both to get the facts and both sides of the story.

‘Turtle Nest Disruption Not caused by TES’

“Huston also claims they never came near the site of the nest. The spot wjere they searched was not on a beach or close to the water, as turtle nests usually are.”

‘Allegations on EquuSearch Unfounded’

“The allegations on Texas Equusearch (TES) that they started a fire on August 11 on the landfill Parkietenbos are false.”

It appears that according to Falconi that the landfill witness is a smoker and may have started it but he “isn’t sure and doesn’t want to make ungrounded accusations.”

Aruba Police Search for Man Who Anonymously Gave Tip; A midnight jogger

According to the AP, the Aruban authorities are searching for a late night jogger who may have information into the case of Natalee Holloway’s disappearance.

Authorities are searching for a man who anonymously called a hot line with information in the case of missing U.S. teen Natalee Holloway but never made contact again, police said Friday.

The man called a few days after Holloway disappeared and claimed to have seen something, said police spokesman Edwin Comenencia. Police want him to provide sworn testimony about what he says he saw, Comenencia said.

The man told the hot line operator he lived near the Marriott Hotel - around the area where Holloway was last seen - and often went jogging there late at night, police said. Comenencia declined to say what the man claimed to have seen or how long police have been looking for him.

“I can’t say why, but we need his statement,” Comenencia said. “The problem is we don’t know who he is.”

The male person has already spoken to the police anonymously and the police are requesting this man to contact the police again urgently.

The intl. news section, where they talked about George Twitty. from Mountain Brook, Alabama ,who's stepdaughter had been disappeared on the Caribbean Island of Aruba in the beginning of June.

Regarding the extensive media coverage, they brought up that one of the main reporters for Fox News Network Greta van Susteren has a very special connection to the case.

Her husband, John P. Coale, and George Twitty are both investors in a large real estate development in Richmond, VA. Each of them hold 25% of the development. The other 50% is held by a group of 2 Germans and a Dutch investor, who resides in the self-governing entity of Aruba.

it appears to be a deadend, originating at the "aruba.com" message board! As of now, the original poster has NOT responded with a source, despite many requests for it in the messages that follow the first post......It has now been 36+ hours since this post.....not a peep on TV about it......would seem to indicate that this is not even worth refuting, and I would think that Greta's competitors would be all over this if there were anything to it......it may also be of interest to know that Drudge was (thursday evening) emailed this post on aruba.com and asked if there might be any truth in it.....nothing has appeared on Drudge about it.

The longer this allegation goes without intensifying the more likely is is just desperate aruban "sushi" that tries to slander Greta (the biggest thorn in their side) and jug.

One last thing.....note that the poster claims that "this is breaking in Europe"......but immediately following is "Washington, DC, USA"!

PAUL FINEBAUM, ALABAMA RADIO TALK SHOW HOST: Well, the latest here is a great deal of confusion. This is a story that, as you well know -- you`ve been covering as well as anyone -- has been going on and on and on, and there is a tremendous disconnect here. We really don`t hear much about this case in Birmingham and in the surrounding areas on the local television stations. It`s way back in the newscast, in the local newspapers. You can barely find the story. On our radio show, which is heard throughout the South, it rarely ever comes up. However, you put on cable television, it`s there. There`s a tremendous disconnect. It`s a tale of two cities in Birmingham.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: That is wild. You`d think that would be the lead story every night because everybody around the world is talking about it. Why not?

FINEBAUM: Well, there`s a lot of people that wonder about that, whether because of the background of the city, whether -- Mountain Brook, Alabama, is a very elite community. VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, we just lost him, but we got his point. Obviously, he feels that the media is sort of using this story. But I think it`s captivated the nation because it is such a mystery.
