THat is a very good question! Looks like a bit of an armpit to me. Dry, hot, windy, nothing to do or see unless you scuba dive or windsurf. Of course, theres always the drugs, booze and illicit activities.
I live on the Coast, I have the ocean, I can swim, do family things on the beaches, (rather than other things! :o) )
And its peaceful, quiet wholesome and gorgeous. I can hunt in my backyard, fish in the front yard!
THis country has some of the most gorgeous scenery anywhere in the world. We have it all! Snow, sun, ocean, lakes, woods, desert,mountains, whatever you want, the US has it!
I'll never step foot in Aruba.
