Hey GOOD NEWS... We might be hooked up to city water as early as Spring of 2006. I am so excited!!! - Everyone around us has until the end of this month to send it a deposit that will show they want city water brought out to us. I talked to our Mayor yesterday and the deposits have been coming in and looks like it will be approved by the city and we should know in early September if it is a 100% sure for Spring of 2006.
If all goes well we should be completely hooked up by mid summer as we are located towards the end of where they will lay the water lines. There are only 4 more house beyond us that would also be hooked up, but there are many houses before us that would be getting it before us.
My $140.00 hauled in water (dumped in cisterns) monthly water bill will be going down to $40.00 a month once we are hooked up. I expect the water hauler will increase their price again due to high gas prices before everything is said and done. But at least their is some "city water" at the end of the tunnel for us sooner than what we expected.
