I'm thankful for our system of Justice also. The only thing I don't like about our system is that the sentencing is not as stiff as I'd like to see. also, they should have NEVER absolished the Death penalty. However, if a criminal is classed as "Habitual", they can be kept in prison forever such as Paul Bernardo.

Yes, I agree. I am heartbroken over these children like Jessica Lunsford, and Shasta and Dillon, who have been abused by repeat offenders. There is no reason for that. Those men should have at least been in jail for the rest of their lives, if not put to death.

Still, when I think about how easy it was for Aruba to throw the security guards in jail, and how close they were to prosecuting two innocent men where just one judge could have decided that they were guilty . . . and just one judge can decide that Joran isn't guilty regardless of evidence, etc . . . makes me very glad for our system . . .
