I do think that delay, those first 10 days of the case that someone's godfather was running the investigation (I understand now that he is Joran's brother's godfather, not Joran's) so much lost, including video tapes. How convenient.

Belly shots are no big deal in this day and age.

The shot glass is filled up - female lays down and balances the filled shot glass on her belly near the navel. (female tries not to laugh or move her stomach muscles so she doesn't spill it as the shot is filled to the rim) The person going after the shot uses their whole mouth (no hands) to pick the shot glass up - they throw back their head with the shot glass in their mouth to take the shot. The female holds a piece of lime in her mouth and shot taker uses the lime as a chaser for the shot and they use their teeth or lips to remove from the holder lips.

Salt is sometimes used and may be place on the belly also and lightly licked off before the person takes the shot.

They have been doing this for years in bars for at least 20 years or more.

I got a different impression tonight. Everyone knows you can alter your computer's clock. I got the impression there was "internet" records. Like a dial up connection came on and went off. Which does not indicate they were there the whole time, just that there was a connection/IP assigned to their account/computer was on!

I think it's pretty widely believed that THAT delay was DELIBERATE Rusty. Certainly gave plenty of time to dispose of evidence, clean up cars, move evidence quickly secreted away, cook up a nice big story and get two completely innocent security guards arrested. All the while PVDS was busy giving some "general" legal counselling don't we know. BARF!! This has been such a set up. Mortimer Snert could run a better investigation than Van der Straaten!!!

Yes, I know what belly shots are and if that's what he said, that's what he said. I think I had jello shots on my mind from the weekend...but that's another story :)

It really doesn't matter to me if Natalee was doing jello shots, belly shots, or any other kind of shot. And I don't think the attorney brought it up to cast aspersions, he was simply saying they were all drinking and having fun but she wasn't stupidly drunk.

Not being stupidly drunk is interesting news though, since Joran told Croes the first night that she was very drunk as I remember.

You could be right. I guess just because the internet is up doesn't mean that a person is necessarily sitting there at the screen. And how phony can it get for a guy to phone another guy to say "I got home"!! Give me a break. THAT was part of establishing an alibi!!

Imho there are not really any that one could take to the bank at the present gg188. The ones that I have read have not been confirmed. The one phone call to one of the male MB students, another MB student (Alana Jordan) posted on SM that she did not think that that phone call was from Natalee because Natalee would not have known this male MB student's cell phone #.

ANSWER: Here is what I know about a phone call: Apparently a friend of Natalee's received a call to his voice mail/answering machine. There was background noise and then someone said something like, "Are you calling home?" As far as I know the phones were then disconnected and nothing else was recorded. I do not know if that call was from Natalee or from her cell phone or one she may have used.

Incidentally, not all USA cell phone service works in Aruba. My AT&T cell phone works there, but my Verizon cell phone does not. And yes — I know — what kind of person has two cell phones? It is a bit nutty but I have two cell phones with different service. Why? For the very reason that some times I am in areas where service is limited. One other thing about the phone call — it is not clear when it was received by the person receiving the message.

Your correct. Remember they said she stumbled and fell and hit her head. Also the Kalpoe's mother stated to Greta that Natalee was basically "passed out"!! Lies, lies and more lies!! Seems to be an epidemic on Aruba.

And it is true, Satish could well have been at the house, or someone else for that matter using the PC. We already know Joran had someone staying in his apartment, correct? That little tidbit surfaced as a surprise well in to this case. So who to say that two unknown characters were the alibi?

all I can say is if you have good smooth tequila you don't need salt or lime. The rest of it is a common bar/party game with 2 people working together trying not to spill the booze from the shot glass as the 2 people involved are not allowed to use their hands at any point. It is not a dirty or wild thing and anyone that is under the age of 40 or 45 probably knows about body shots even if they only party once in a great while.

I think this attorney was more devious in what he was releasing than anyone besides Tito. (Ruben is just a moot point in my opinion, he's just a dripping water faucet of false info.) There was just enough inuendo, and speculation with his cavalier attitude to make you wonder. Personally I don't think the body shots are a big deal--I think that is just being thrown out to muddy up the water. Who cares what all she did or didn't do...where is Natalee? That's all that matters!

EXACTLY!! The other telling thing is that the gardener identified the wheels or hubcaps on DEEPAK's car. The gardener also recognized both Joran AND Deepak. He only saw the other guy duck down in the back seat so couldn't make a positive on that one. The car itself is signifcant tho AND the gardener passed either a polygraph and/or a voice stress analysis test!! In my view, he's credible!! These other guys are ALL liars.

And how come even the Kalpoe brothers kept changing their stories. IF they are so innocent, it should have been ONE story. There is ONE version of the truth period, FULL STOP!!

I noticed he used the word internet records also..I imagine he chose his words carefully, was it to dispell the rumor of them changing the computer and cell phone times as reported by national enquirer (was that near the space alien story?)..he did not go into specifics which I might have done had I been sure they were valid records...this is a sticking point which appears to clear the bros (contradicting the gardeners story and what about the bros washing their car that night or the jogger?)..does anyone recall deepak stating that pvds had told them to change the times on their computers? I recall a story something like that...

When the guy said it on TV I knew he was just explaining what the scene was like. But you can walk in about any "hip" bar at around 1am and see last call body shots going on.

I explained the "belly shot" thing for people who don't know what they are. Some people think they fill your belly button up with liquor and someone has to suck it out of your belly button (yuck). Most of the time there is no human to human physical contact going on during a belly shot.

I could use a nice shot of smooth almond Teqiela right now in a chilled shot glass for a night cap - Good night all!
