Good grief!
You'd think it would be fairly intuitive, yet may people seem to have trouble discerning what "legitimate" research is. I've seen many instances of people who think Robert Heath's experiments were legitimate research, and still quote observations made by Ronald Reagan based on his reading of the results of those experiments.
