That's nothing. California law enforcement is probably the best fit in the country. You ought to see what shape the cops are in in down south, or the midwest. Now that's an eye opener.

Roger BT on fit Cali cops. Most are 25-40 and look very fit, tan and tough. These few old or fat cops are a rarely seen exception. I'm assuming some directives went out county-wide for various depts to provide X number of bodies for the rally. Some depts probably pulled guys who are not usually on patrol duty, but work the desks waiting for retirement. (I don't mean that as a slam against the police, it's just a bureaucratic reality.) Seriously, most of the many patrol cops I meet and chat with in San Diego are intelligent, articulate, and very fit. No kidding.
