yep seems like experimentation is a universal constant for scientists and others- we feel species that have gone extinct had no value or are failures perhaps that is a very human view not shared by all.

I'm not just talking about species that have gone extinct. I'm talking about design flaws even in existing species, even our own. The giraffe's spinal cord is a prime example. The placement of our optic nerve which creates a blindspot is another. The poor design of our upper vertibrae which cause so many spinal problems for us is another.
