I know about it. I quickly realized it was impolite of me to question the importance of this. I am not trying to seem macho. My personal opinion is such that it is a fairly small issue. I agreed to not criticize it anymore. I would wish that you all would do the same for me. Each of us has our interests and I love history and books. You all love mysteries, etc. Don't we on Freerepublic have the right to debate and not supposed to criticize individuals?

P.S.-I am not some troll. I have been here for quite a few months and am a conservative.

well apparently you have seen the faux pas that you made by popping in and saying what are you bunch of dorks worried about the drowned girl for. because that is exactly how you came across. you brought all of the reactions on yourself that you received, so just learn from your mistake : )

You didn't post to me, but I hope you don't mind this response.

Since this began people that contribute to this thread have been reading posts similar to yours. We have had people come on here and say very nasty things about the victim in this case as well. Unfortunately, we have become very sensitive to criticism from those who rarely post here when they ask such questions.

Sorry if I seemed rough earlier, but we are really very interested in this issue and are a bit weary of the critics who seem to believe this is not important. It is important to us or we would not be on our 10th thread.

I hope you will stick around. There is a lot of Aruban history that pops up from time to time. The may be interesting for you.
