I did hear last night on tv that weeks ago it was discussed draining that pond, but the authorities couldn't figure out what to do with the drained water...
At least this time, somebody got the bright idea to run the hose over to the ocean.

I heard that too. The guy from Equus said his team had wanted to drain the pond and that even HE knew where to put the dang water.
Miller had a difficult time hiding his digust of the authorities in Aruba in that interview.
I hope they enjoy this brief respite. The media and armchair detectives won't let this one go.

To add to the cruise ship discussion...I saw a show this past week on cruise ships and one thing that stuck in my mind is the fact that no cruise ships are registered in the US. All are registered in other countries. I found this little factoid interesting and wondered why it is so.
