Tell that to Fort Payne Alabama... This has just killed the town (formally known as the Sock Capital of the World)...

I agree LowOiL. I'm from Lexington, NC and this is going to kill whats left of NC's textile and furniture industry. And what's left of American manufactoring really.

What does either of those towns have to do with the fact that 21 million jobs were created since NAFTA? Or that real wages are higher since NAFTA?

This economic growth would have occured without NAFTA, probably more so. Let's remember, all these jobs were created under Clinton so that's a sign they would have been created regardless. These 20 million jobs were a result of Reaganomics kicking in, not NAFTA.

Oh I forgot, how about all those millions of manufactoring jobs lost since NAFTA. You must not live in a manufactoring state or either that you're rich and don't associate with the working class.

Lets hope some jobs were created during those 11+ years because the population of the US has grown more than 21 million since NAFTA's inception.

Currently at 296,747,774

In 1990 it was around 248,709,873

That is with just guessing the illegal population which most consider undercounted.

BTW... when jobs are created, but created without previous perks like 401k plans, affordable insurance, vacation time ect... I don't consider it creation of jobs worth comparing. Thus to compete in a global economy, jobs have been stripped of value in many ways.

But don't mind me, keep on ranting...
