That may be your problem. Medicine has been partially socialized (Medicare) and it has devalued the whole market.
My advice is to switch field and learn ...say plumbing or car repair.

Long Shift gotta go to bed so I can be alert for the next round.
Perhaps I shoulda not posted and we can drop it now it has been a long shift and I have to be perky in four hrs.
