I am over and out on this thread.

Lewislyn, don't argue minutia, that just plays into the hands of the stupid.

All you farttax proponents, I suspect none of you are sophisticated enough to be able to read past the language of the farttax bill because every time one (I) make a cogent argument you refer me to "the bill". As if reading a bill for the umpteenth time will cause different understanding. It is the old adage of "crazy" where a person does the same thing over and over again confused and frustrated that the end result is the same. I am not crazy because I know I will get the same result, however, the proponents apparently believe that a different understanding will result, which makes me think, they are.

YN, keep up the good fight. The farttaxers are a tiny minority in the population for good reasons, no one wants to pay 30% or more when they buy a house or car, they see that the prebate is really a communist inspired BIG, they see that a sales tax will target the retirement income of the Boomer generation as their retirement would normally cause their income tax rate to decline greatly and since many IRAs are tax exempt (Roth) that the generationaly envious desire to get even by taxing their spending.

Go after them. I'll be checking in on occasion but I have to vacation on some exotic NE island with family for a month or so. Be good.

You seem to like the word "sophisticated". Reading the FairTax bill does not require "sophistication" since it is written in very understandable English. If you'd spend some time absorbing what it says instead of jumping to unwarranted conclusions about what you'd like it so say you'd know that.

Perhaps you can read it while on vacation. Perhaps also you can learn how to spell "FairTax" since there seems to be some cognitive dissonance there on your part.

The fact that you defend the present system viciously along with the others of the SQL crowd makes you no more right than they are. The FairTax is gathering increasing support all the time and will continue to do so as you'll see. Most people realize the benefits it offers our country and taxpayers in general.

Remember - everything you spend on vacation is inflated by invisible tax costs... Why do you fight to retain hidden taxes?

Do you like it that the feds collect so much in hidden tax?
