I think there are liberals with good intentions and even good ethics. It's the liberals without one or the other (or neither) that really seem indistinguishable to me.

These are the stooges. There are 3 levels: the inner circle is the inner group of hard core communists who know what they want and how to do it. Just outside that circle is a much larger group that has a clue of what's going on. The biggest group is the stooges. They have been persuaded somehow by the the 2nd group which could be the media, or whatever. The stooges have good intentions but they don't have a clue what they are really working for. It is from these stooges that the group grows larger but it is always guided by that inner circle.
