It's not only rude, it's two-faced!!! Behaviour unbecoming a leader who now seems to want to build a legacy that excludes the conservative values that got him re-elected quite handily!!!
Interesting you say that.
It just reminded me of something. I actually recall someone saying, or an article written during the last Presidential election, asking people to not refer or complain about specific issues until after the election was won.
Hey! That's RIGHT!!! You remembered...
She sure sounded real coherent and on point to be suffering from all the insane crap you accuse her of or... do you alway have to rationalize everything you disagree with?
Righteous indignation, that's how I would classify her monoloque last night.
Did anyone ever get a transcript of what was said?
Thanks.
I haven't seen a transcript, but she did say most of what was posted. Someone mentioned she is still on topic today. I don't have a subscription to her website, so I can't view the archives.
If true, the author of this sure took an unjustified beating for posting it.
I can't blame him for heading to the tall grass when the posters with sharp teeth arrived!
I can't blame him for heading to the tall grass when the posters with sharp teeth arrived! OOPs...I don't mean you.
So you are substantiating what the author of this wrote?
I heard virtually the same thing posted as the topic of this thread right after the thread was originally pulled. I don't remember the Peepers part. Laura did mention by name the liberal justices previously put in by Republican presidents and said she expected better from Bush.
blah blah blah.
Words are funny things aren't they?
So is it also your opinion, the border problems have not escalated in the past 25 years or so?
It's not clear to me what these "over-the-top tactics" are.
Are they trashing Gonzales' character? I haven't seen this. I've seen reasoned points about why we couldn't count on him being a strong conservative on the Court.
If you think that's "over-the-top," I'm sure glad you aren't in public office, or running a campaign for us.
Heard some of this. She was a little, not over the line exactly, but edging up to it. Pres Bush is also a little more personally involved than he should be. A little more professionalism could be evidenced all around.
Over the top and unacceptable. I recommend you ask Admin mod to pull your post. This is advice from a friend, too.
I remember the pic of Laura on the cover of the NYTimes Magazine, along with James Golden (Rush's Bo Snerdley, I think)
and Richard Brookhiser (photographed to look like an alien)
and one or two others. An old friend of mine, James Atlas, wrote the piece. It was a LONG time ago, I would guess about 9 or 10 years. Needless to say, James Atlas and I don't see things the same way as we did in 68-71. I don't remember how smarmy, sarcastic or arrogant the article was,
but you can be sure it masqueraded as "objective journalism". Atlas has recently campaigned for Kerry for President, and continues his Lefty ways.
O my life is over, little Laz is mad at me. Buzz off.
