Fox had that wonderful forensic pathologist on last night, Dr. Michael Baden. He's very pessimistic about the chances of getting any forensic evidence at this late date even if they find Natalee's remains. The body, or what's left of it won't have flesh, probably won't have any skin or anything caught under fingernails. And that's another thing. Someone asked a while ago on FR, why hadn't the LE taken pictures of all three naked...to see if there were scratched. Evidently this wasn't done. If they put her in a footlocker, at least the bones would all be there, and if she was strangled, maybe that tiny hyoid bone in the neck would be broken and they could say that's how she died. (Obviously, if someone put her in a footlocker and dumped her in the ocean, it was murder.) Is Joran missing a footlocker? Or are the Kalpoe bros. missing a big box? The cops should have checked shovels in their garages, to see if they showed signs of recent use. If the car held sand in the truck, it might have matched sand on the shovel if they buried her. So much possible evidence lost. But kids blab, so in time, they'll (probably at a bar), brag about killing an American b...tch and getting away with it.

The only forensic evidence that would stand on its own would be hair or blood matching Natalee's DNA, I would think.
