I recall and also commented on his shirts. They were usually checkered or plaid and blue and white. Short sleeve cotton, button up the front.
I didn't find it too unusual. Lots of guys prefer blue.

My take on the blue shirts is that someone told him he looks good in blue - and being the obviously ladies man he appears to be he figures it helps.. laugh...
I told my husband he looks good in yellow - and he tended to wear it for YEARS!

I just noticed the pattern. Blue, blue, blue. Maybe he thinks it makes him look innocent? :)
