For starters, they LIED to the police and fingered the two innocent, black security guards! Not sure who you mean by they, but the brothers may have gone along with the story to protect their friend Sloot. That doesn't mean that they knew anything about what might have transpired between Sloot and Natalee, after they dropped them off.
Evidently lying is NOT a crime in Aruba.
