i agree. i find distinctly lacking in empathy those that criticize this family. and those that say they aren't, but in the next breath ARE, hear about it on these threads. saying what they SHOULD have done, how they SHOULD act, speak, conduct themselves, when sitting outside of the situation themselves, is very easy. this family didn't ASK to be thrust into this situation, but this is where they find themselves (cue the coulda shoulda wouldas that will undoubtedly come, right here...)
