I think the point is that understandably emotional moms looking for a lost and likely dead daughter cannot and should not be relied upon to dispense tactical legal advice. Someone amongst her family, friends, and advisors should have told her not to come out with those statements yesterday.
we don't know that someone didn't try to tell her, but she is, after all, other than dave holloway, the person most affected by this tragedy and may feel she should have her say regardless. to her eventual detriment or not, maybe she was not able to be dissuaded.
Actually, I'm assuming that the authorities know more than they've revealed and may be doing a fair job, but they have no business criticizing Beth Twitty. I honestly believe that not for Beth, two innocent security guards would still be in prison and a young, probably guilty, Dutch youth would be free. While I'm not convinced the Kalpoe brothers are guilty of murder, or are even accessories, I do think they know what would help Beth find her daughter. They need to drop the "poor vicitimized me" routine and talk to the family.
