My post has nothing to do with the issue of corruption, but rather the quote from TexKat's article about Arubans resenting the American media.
I don't have time to watch every minute of our 24-hour coverage, but I haven't noticed our media going after "corruption" in Aruba. What I have seen, as I noted, is our media ignorantly and ludicrously attacking the Aruban justice system.
But if we're going to talk about corruption, there's corruption everywhere in the Carribbean, but by most accounts, far less of it in Aruba than on the other islands.
And, if we're going to talk about corruption, how about our own city of Camden NJ, where every governmental office is controlled by the Mafia, in league with the Democratic party? Seems Camden's police can't even figure out to search the trunk of a father's car to find trapped children.
THAT is what has americans up in arms, much more so than the differing systems.
My post is blasting the American media, NOT Americans in general.
And let's not forget our media rush to put out many false "reports" in this case. (Not to mention their false reports during our election last year...remember ?)
Cajungirl, maybe you can link the stuff you had on the Aruban corruption, nita had a bunch of it also.
