Terri Schiavo's husband buried her cremated remains in a Clearwater cemetery Monday, inscribing on her bronze grave marker that ``I kept my promise.''
David Gibbs, an attorney for the woman's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, said inscribing the marker that way was a nasty political statement by Michael Schiavo, who held the service and burial Monday before telling her family.
``Obviously, that's a real shot and another unkind act toward a grieving mom and dad,'' Gibbs said.
After earlier announcing plans to bury his wife's ashes in their native Pennsylvania, Michael Schiavo instead interred them at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater, near Tampa, his attorney, George Felos, said in a short news release Monday.

"Classic over-reach by the radicals within the pro life movement.
Unfortunately, these people have set that movement backwards. People are pretty disgusted by what they saw outside that Hospice."
What the hey are you talking about????
Is it over-reach to protect life? Not with my God. Is it with yours?
The movement is entering full-swing. Have you noted the 15 to 25 y.o. opinion on abortion??
People are pretty dismayed and sickened about what went on INSIDE that hospice. Have you missed the threads on people pulling their loved ones out of Florida hospices?
There have been several miracles awakenings recently and posted on FR.
Pulled what off?
And you really believe the Democrats? If it is such a good political advantage for them, why aren't they talking about it everyday? Why no words when the autopsy came out...or today when she has been buried...or when Gov. Bush asked for an investigation....WHY NOT A WORD FROM THE DEMOCRATS?
I, for one, will be SHOCKED if we hear a word from Democrats concerning this issue....they don't need anymore association with death....they are already known as "The Party of Death". What are they going to do....show a picture of a starving Terri with the words..."and the Republicans wanted to feed her"?
Oh dear Howlin, lugsoul is trying to silence me, please defend me! Oh I do so beg you, you adamant defender of forum freedom.
Not really. Mary Schindler was caught in a nice little fib concerning Karen Quinlan and Terri's age at the time. The mom claimed Terri was 17 when she made some comments about her wishes while watching a real time news program about the KQ situation. We're not talking about the movie. Terri could not have been more than 11 or 12 at the time of the newscast.
I made no contention at all I just asked a straightforward question.
LOL! I've never been to one, but I'll take your word for it. :-)
"No. I'm telling you what all my Baptist friends down here in South Carolina are saying."
EV, Could you ask her to quantify "all"??
I have friends and relatives in SC, Baptist and otherwise that would be offended to be a part of that attempted generalization.
Hon, maybe you don't know this. But thousands of people a year have their feeding tubes removed. With and without living wills.
If you don't like the laws, change them.
And be sure to state in your living will that you want to live indefinitely on machines even when there's no hope and no cognitive ability. You want your family tied to your side and watching you, even though you don't know they are there.
Oh, can't have that, can we...
I'm sure that was a typo, but it is a lie anyway.
There were no bullhorns in the middle of the night.
And even in the middle of the day, the noise level was never high enough that it could have been heard from inside the hospice. No way.
There was also nothing preventing anyone from going outside. There are massive gardens all down the backside of the buildings from which no trace of the protests could possibly be seen or heard.
So, kindly, quit making things up.
From comas. Not from PVS.
I'm a defender of forum freedom, not posters who show their A$$e$$.
There were family members interviewed outside the hospice who complained about this. Now you are calling them liars?
We all watched what went on there. It was a carnival. There were jugglers and mimes, for crying out loud.
Oh, heavens, we couldn't offend your friends in SC now, could we?
I've never been to one either, but I've sure seen enough in movies to recognize a good old hell fire and damnation rant when I see one. :-)
Getting the thread sent to the Backroom with your constant shrill attacks on people.
Apparently, this low-life believes she has some entitlement to attack my family. If she thought there would be no response to that, she has less sense than common decency.
They aren't; that's only a dream in a very empty mind.?
Actually, it's a reality I've seen over and over in other threads. (Remember I've been watching quite awhile.) Obviously, yellowdoghunter has too. Thus the warning when he saw an icon. Also, the empty mind comment is reflective of your contempt. Sorry I don't have time to put up with you any more right now, but important aspects of life are calling for my attention.
