That is unfortunate, but is wholy their own doing. They brought that upon themselves.
Please, NOTHING is stopping Terri's parents from going out and erecting a memorial for her at any one of the thousands of cemetaries in this country. Or how about a Park, or a beach, or maybe someplace that made their daughter happy.
Geez, she was cremated, what are they going to spend time with, Ashes?
Let's assume for a moment, shall we, that human beings do indeed have a soul. OK, going with that assumption, it stands to reason, once the soul is free of the corpse, it's more like than not to be fairly capable of "spending time with loved ones" pretty much wherever they are, without requiring the "loved ones" to worship on some ridiculous Ash Alter...
