Have you read some of the comments? They aren't full of love. Terri threads consistently have the most name calling, hate-filled language, usually coming from self-proclaimed "Christians". It's ugly.

You must be on different Terri threads than I am. You are just taking a moment to bash religion. Most of the Terri threads are pleasant even though the issue is very serious.

I've only seen hate-filled language from the death to Terri crowd.

There are tons of people who joined FR because of Terri. And "tons" more who have left because of the irrational and slanderous behavior exhibited here by those who claimed to speak for her.

Any many other Freepers stuck around to inject some sanity into the bizzare conspiracy theories propogated by the Schiavo's.

Yes, but those distributing the clean needles, have legal medical sources.

They just don't go to the corner druggist and buy dozens at a time.

The druggies share needles b/c they cannot go in a drug store and buy them, just by asking.

We have the testimony of nurses; we have the testimony of doctors; we know the cause of death -- dehydration due to hte state-ordered denial of any feeding of any kind.

So since we know that, how can the cause be undetermined?

Sure...they're going to reopen the case. What a laugh. The whole idea here is to end it in Michael's (and Greer's) favor.

And I asked you why the Schiavos testified she was bulemic, if she wasn't.

I agree. I used to do contract work as a therapeutic musician in hospitals, nursing homes and such. I sang to people not unlike Ms. Schiavo. No one in these institutions talked of what they did NOT have, we all looked at what they did have, and more importantly, accorded them the respect due any diseased or aged human being.

I of course hold to the belief that my singing touched the souls and spirits of those people who could not respond verbally. Sometimes you would see eyes twitch, sometimes a tear, sometimes a groan. Those were human souls responding to stimulation.

OF COURSE Terri was there. I wish I could have sung for her in her final days, or even before. Perhaps I will do this kind of work again, just as protest to the kill Terri (oh sorry, let Terri die) crowd.

The point of this article is to try to assuage the guilt of people who inwardly think it is okay to do away wih people who are vegetables. "We wouldn't do that to just anybody, only ones with no brain function." Yeah, wait 5 years and tell me what is going on in this nation. We let retarded babies die on hospital back rooms. What a waste, people think. Well why not eat fetuses, they are a waste, too.... (several earlier threads today had stories on this).... Dear God, what are we coming to, first dead fetus-eating and now laughing off the cruel starvation of an innocent woman. "It wasn't so bad, she was a vegetable." "It isn't so bad, it's just not really human yet." Didn't they used to make lampshades from the skin of dead Jews? That's economical, too.... Why didn't they just shoot Terri Schiavo in the head? It would have been even more economical. And that way we would all be sure that you killed a vegetable on purpose...

When you summarily dismiss every OFFICIAL report, you're calling them liars involved in a conspiracy to cover up. Perhaps there just wasn't anything to cover up here; is that too big a concept to grasp? And my agenda is to keep the likes of you out of my life and my decisions on how to end mine.

If have not dismissed every official report. I have not alleged a cover up. I have not called anyone a liar. You have me confused with someone else or you are just plain confused.

You can make whatever decision YOU want about how to "end" your life. However, Terri didn't make that decision in this case. Greer made it for her and he ordered that she be killed by the court ordered prohibition of all hydration and nutrition (read his actual orders). Those are the undeniable facts. It was no different than if he had ordered the prohibition of all oxygen or any sort of respiration and it was carried out by putting her head in a plastic bag until she suffocated. No different. That is what you're defending here.
