"Hispanic" IS white. Spaniards are Europeans, too, ya know. "Hispanic" is more of an ethnic identity than it is a racial one.

I wouldn't suggest calling a Spaniard an Hispanic.
My brother, who lives and works in Madrid, says that would be a very bad idea, comparable to calling a Persian an Arab.

That is quite true. It's a shame the media and libs have been fairly successful dumping all hispanics into "people of color".
