Not exactly. They were murdered for attempting to leave Texas and join the traitorous Texans in Baghdad, Mexico. You will note that I do agree in this case it was murder. The sorry individual who ordered the massacre was no gentleman, nor did he have the support of his government, etc. for his actions.

I am glad you believe it was murder, but they were not traitors to Texas, they were loyal to the United States.

Then they should have left BEFORE Texas seceded, or refugeed. They didn't, and should have been treated as prisoners of war, but it didn't work out that way.

Once Texas seceded, they were traitors.
