So, a General was in control of the Trans-Mississippi!

In other words, there was no civilian government left.

So, the Confederacy had regressed into a military led gov't?

So, Lincoln was in effective control of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government!

In other words, there was no civilian government left.

So, the Union had regressed into a despot led gov't?

No, Lincoln had all three branches of civilian governments working, even holding off year elections (in which the Republicans took a beating).

The Confederacy as a government, ceased to exist with the fall of Richmond, as even your pro-Confederate website stated.
