Because the 'dog and pony show' organizers claimed at first to have had 2000 volunteers and by the time the registrations began, they said 500 then 400 then registering ten at a time and when the count was finally made you had less than 100 the first weekend...and then continued to restate the actual start date...and forgot to mention the twelve people who showed up for Babe Buchanan's Blatant Biddy Bitch session.

The truth:
No one every claimed 2000 volunteers.

There have been over 450 people already involved in the MMP in the first week alone.

I helped register the MMP volunteers and there were well over 100 registered in the first few hours.

The start dates never slipped. Everything has been occuring on schedule.

The orientation session wherein Bay Buchanan, Tom Tancredo, and others spoke had to be held three times. The room it was held in could only seat about 90 people. Each session was full. Do the math. And don't try to say it was media packing the sessions as very few media were allowed in and certainly weren't allowed to sit in the seats meant for the volunteers.
