From what I understand, because of the Minuteman Project, the Mexican government has put a number of troops at the border to "redirect" the illegals to other areas.
They don't want the project to be successful and they don't want the US people to know just how many are crossing each day.
What we have seen is a reduction, at least initially, of attempted crossings.
So is it working?

If the Mexican military is at the border helping illegals then its because the Mexican president put them there.
Fox can get rid of all his criminals and deviants by pushing them across the border.
Then there is the added revenue he gets because of the money sent home to families. Illegal immigrants are a major source of revenue for Mexico and other Latin American countries.
