JUST A MINUTE Minutemen Project dangerous but puts focus on immigration policy
Houston Chronicle ^ | April 7, 2005, 8:26PM | Editorial

Posted on 04/09/2005 7:03:51 AM PDT by harrowup

A Houstonian armed to the teeth stands atop his pickup truck in the Arizona desert. He wishes to deter illegal immigrants from Mexico, but he and his confederates will fail. Border Patrol officials said some civilian observers set off motion detectors, complicating rather than aiding the agency's mission.

What do you have against protecting our borders?

I am 100% in favor of border protection.

I am 100% opposed to vigilantes doing it.

You support secure borders? What exactly does "secure" borders mean to you?

Although, you graciously answered Ben Flicklin's questions, after he was too spineless to take the lead, it is quite obvious where he stands on secure borders when he failed to do you the courtesy of answering this simple question.

Don't be fooled by these open borders types. They wish to see America completely transformed. The American the gave people their greatest freedom since the time of the Ancient Greeks, won two world wars, and created the most wealth of any nation in history isn't good enough for them.

"I am 100% in favor of border protection"

Yeah thats the first thing that comes to mind when I read one of your posts. "Now that guy's for secure borders."

I am 100% in favor of border protection.

So will you answer the million dollar questions:

How do you propose to secure our borders?

How do you propose to get our government to listen (and act) to (for) the American people on this issue?

I have answered that question and others similar many, many times.

When the US puts immigration reform in place, our interdiction forces will be allowed to begin operating in Mexico. This will be the the best security available.

You, on the other hand, advocate round-ups, mass deportation, building a fence, and putting 300,000 troops on the border.

Sorry pal, it ain't gonna happen.

Calm down, spiff; you're making a damned fool of yourself and confirming everyone's worst suspicions about the mental stability of your dog and pony show's leadership. You sound like a Nethercott in waiting; just ten mgs away from an uncontrollable rage.

That's not going to work either. If we can't use your own admissions against you to expose your agenda, what can we use? We certainly can't debate the good points of the Minuteman Project with you because you continually base your posts upon lies and slander and any amount of facts given to you don't even begin to deter your "jihad".

But that sure looks like a fun game. Here let me try:

You sound like a Unibomber in waiting, just ten mgs away from an uncontrollable bombing spree.

These interdiction forces would surely be for combating the drug trade and perhaps terrorists and not to stop illegal immigration. What Ive distilled from your posts is that you support unlimited legal immigration. A totally free legal flow of goods and people back and forth across the border. Tell me if Im wrong.

Would you please come down here and point out which Minuteman Project volunteer is a vigilante? Put up or shut up.

"Calm down, spiff; you're making a damned fool of yourself"

In prior posts, you've identified yourself as a 40 year member of the communist-front ACLU, and a life long Democrat as well as being a self-confessed forum disruptor.

They will be doing everything including insurgents from South/Central America agitating the Zapatistas.

Recall the recent meeting in Crawford on North American Perimeter Security.

Could you reply to that part of my post also please?

Given a choice, who would you rather have on your side? A tenuously supportive person, or one who slanders you endlessly? I, and I am sure the President, would chose the former.

I couldn't imagine a left wing ACLU democrat ever being on my side on anything. The ideological gulf is just too wide. And I certainly haven't seen any slander against this president on the MMP threads. What I see is the awful truth about Bush.

The airing of such truths and criticisms about publicly elected officials is called “honest dissent”, another one of those unique things about America. We can actually do this and with vigor. You though seem to have a problem with such constitutionally guaranteed rights.

Worse, you seem to have pledged your loyalty to another country and don’t like the historical outcome of the events which led to Texas joining the American Union instead of remaining part of Mexico.

I find it disturbing that people like you exist in the Republican Party.

When did I say any of this? Or do you want to carry on both sides of the conversation yourself?

You notice he's determined that his idea of "reform" is going to happen. There'll be no cut off of the flood. 'Ain't gonna happen', he said. What he and the other conservative posers are worried about is that the MMP might help the American people take control back from an out of control govt.

He also mentioned our guys going into mexico doing interdiction (necessarily, with the mexicans.) I've read a bit on the european version of joint ops with bordering neighbors. I can't imagine any American allowing themselves to be arrested by a mexican on American soil. But, that could happen under the european plan for the americas.

These so called Americans who want us joined at the hip with the totally corrupt non-functioning entity to the south of us are either mentally ill, or very corrupt themselves.

I think legal immigration, as in the Naturalization process, should be sharply curtailed. I know that won't happen.

I do support a guest worker plan that will provide us with a robust labor supply.

ok. In your ideal plan would anyone be turned down when they sought to join the guest worker program?

"You, on the other hand, advocate round-ups, mass deportation, building a fence..."

Thank you for your admission that you support continued criminality and foreign invasion. Harrowup confessed that he can't help himself, being a life-long member of the ACLU and the Democratic party, but what's your excuse?

Although I can't say with certainty, it is safe to say that there is discerning criteria being used already in the Visa programs.
