Michael Schiavo controlled the $700,000 trust fund awarded specifically for Terri's care. According to an October 2003 acticle in Newsday, Michael's lawyer is quoted saying that over $430,000 of that money was being used to “pay for court costs associated with her husband’s legal battle to remove his wife’s feeding tube.”

Where did you get the idea that MS had no access to the money?

Per Jay Wolfson GAI's December 1, 2003 report:

"The Court establishaed a trust fund for Theresa's financial award, with SouthTrust Bank as the Guardian and an independent trustee. This fund was meticulously managed and accounted for and Michael Schiavo had no control over it's use. There is no evidence in the record of the trust administration documents of any mismagagement. . ."

I am very familiar with trusteeships and the massive amount of record keeping and cross-referencing.

He didn't control it. He didn't have the money. Any expenditure from the trust fund had to be approved by the court.

This isn't in dispute except on the main forum where he's going to the Bahamas on the fund or whatever.
