- US: Conservatives are rational and want solid evidence and facts, not emotion. THEM: "Terri Schiavo".

- US: Conservatives want the government OUT of people's private lives. THEM: "Terri Schiavo".

- US: Conservatives favor State's Rights over federal involvement. THEM: "Terri Schiavo".

- US: Conservatives favor the rule of law. THEM: "Terri Schiavo".

All of which will be backe dup with quotes from Randall Terry, Alan Keyes, et. al.

What is a good term for a social moderate who favors fiscal restraint? (I mean, aside from the obvious "death cultist" and "spawn of Satan)

If there should ever be a third party in this country, it should be a center party. Leave the kooks on the right and the kooks on the left out on the fringes.
