I know. I've scrolled through some out there in the MF, but would not post there. Too bad some of them could not give us the same respect.

Certain religions and sects prohibit it. Some people probably just find it "icky" and refuse.
Personally, my driver's license has the "organ donor - yes" tag on it.
I couldn't figure that one out, either. I'd like to think that the mod was needed elsewhere. I'll bet that behind the scenes on FR, in mod-land, things are just as contentious as they are on the main board.

The trolls show exactly their character and motivation when they do what they do. That's why I don't pay them any attention, other than to thank them for bumping.
"I see this as a family feud..." is exactly right. The fact that the families allowed it to turn into a circus made me lose respect for all involved.

That is meaningless, though. There are specific rules concerning who is able to nominate someone for a Nobel Prize. This congressman is ineligible to make a nomination. If I were to write a letter to the Nobel committee nominated you for the Nobel Peace Prize, that would have equally as much weight.

I don't think we should give up on the MF either. Maybe if enough threads are posted on other news, things will die down. But if we just leave it to the folks out there now, we could change the whole idea of the forum.

- Many FReepers posted nonstop Nazi imagery. Do they really think that everyone "gets" what they are trying to say, rather than just assuming that they are neo-Nazis themselves?
- Many FReepers are calling for solid Republicans to be thrown out of office "for not doing ENOUGH".
There are widespread calls for people to violate the law.
- Death threats to public officials has been tolerated.
What am I to think?

No charges for dutch doctors who euthanized babies

Doctors in Holland who euthanized infants with disabilities will not face charges, according to a report published in the Dutch Journal of Medicine. In the past seven years, 22 cases of euthanasia were reported for babies born with spina bifida, a birth defect affecting the spinal column. Another study found that an additional 15 to 20 babies a year are euthanized but not reported for fear of prosecution. Dutch prosecutors have decided not to charge the doctors in cases such as these, as long as it involves a newborn who has no chance of survival and is suffering unbearably, the parents have agreed, the doctor has consulted at least one other doctor, and the infant’s life was ended in a correct medical way.
Supporters hope that this decision will encourage doctors to report these cases and be open about it. Some media have criticized the practice, including America’s Fox News which likened the baby euthanasia to the Nazi murder of Anne Frank.
I can take flaming. I can't take the irrational extremism and the fact that it is tolerated by the Mods. Six months ago, half or more of this trash would have been pulled.
