I do hope you know that the Schindlers recommended that he start to date other women and even asked to meet future girlfriends. They told him it was time to get on with his life. Just a point, in the interest of fairness.
Oh, and the State of Michigan is drafting legislation right now so that cheating spouses will not be able to make life and death decisions for their husband or wife.
If your kids are looking for career options I'd recommended attorneys with an eye toward a future judgeship or private detective if they don't do that well in school.
Because we're going to need a lot more of both with the direction this is all headed.
I think most of these things are a he said/she said debacle. No way to know the exact truth. The Schindler's are lifelong practicing Catholics (and devout by all accounts) so I doubt they would have encouraged him to date while married to their daughter. That is a serious sin for Catholics. Either way, I don't pay much attention to the details, I just look to see what happened and what both parties have done - not what they have (supposedly) said.
