I feel for the father because he is obviously not a clean cut, well-spoken rich guy like Ed Smart......I wonder if people put him down on those reasons alone...

contrast the coverage this case has gotten as compared to the Van Dam or the Smart cases....

blonde and beautiful people that live in rich areas....

and then we have this redneck Southerner who ,GASP, probably watches Nascar and listens to country music.....

note to all parents...if something bad happens to your family, make sure you are rich and beautiful to start and make sure you get that Public relations guy on board ASAP......./rant/

Yes, Cherry. It is all just so sad. I just want to wrap my arms around Jessica's father. He and his pain just go right to the center of my heart. You make some very good points in your post, Cherry. And it's just a shame that what you have observed is ofttimes the case. The family needs all the prayers humanly possible.

Cherry you are right. When I first saw him on TV I knew that immediately the people would judge him based on his appearance. Yes, he looks "rough" but I suspect he is not sleeping, eating, and is tirelessly looking for and crying about his daughter. Who wouldn't look terrible?

Then, he is not well-spoken, but his heart speaks, and it speaks volumes about his care and concern and love for his daughter. Who cares if he is a "'dis" and "'dose" type talker? I know plenty of eloquent speakers who don't give a hoot about their children

Oh, and a whole lot of people, even "intellectuals" watch Nascar races. LOL
