Sir (I know, an assumption) I run the border ping list and consider myself to be pretty much at the forefront of the anti-illegal-immigration anti-porous-border group on FR.

I have some questions and answers for you. Is Arab a race? No. Is Mexican a race? No. Is Hispanic a race? No. There are three recognized races: Caucasian, Negroid, and Mongoloid. Please don't continue the bastardized use of that word, ok? It really hurts when tossed at people who don't deserve it.

Another question....this was found on a well-known people-smuggling trail here in Cochise County. Does it look innocent to you?

- yes, good point.

"Hispanic" only refers to those in Latin and South America who speak Spanish. Bolivians, Paraguayans, even Argentines, and inhabitants of Uruguay are all considered "Hispanic".
But Brazilians are not "Hispanic", as they speak Portuguese.
I believe Carib-beaners are not considered "Hispanic", but Cubans are...Many South American folks are of native Indian ancestry, Portuguese, etc. But let's *LABEL* them all "Hispanic"

But I quite frankly am tired of hearing conservatives using this *liberal* label. My adopted son is of Puerto Rican ancestry. Some would try to label him "Hispanic".
But he is not, as he doesn't speak Spanish, and he never lived there, just as most so called "African-Americans" never lived in Africa.
