Eventually, regardless of what we do, the situation in Mexico will explode. We should get prepared, and then let it happen.
The present 'goal', it seems, is to prevent a revolution in Mexico by allowing a relatively open border. -- Yet no one here wants an open border, or so it is claimed.
I see the workers exodus [and their money sent home] as a safety valve, but essentially, we agree.
-- Mexico is ripe for revolution, and our government is playing games at our border in an attempt to delay the inevitable.

If Mexico ever has a revolution or a disaster like a major earthquake the illegal immigration we're experiencing now will be considered a trickle.
That's why it has to be made clear to them they're not the 51st state and they have to learn to solve their own problems like everyone else.

Exactly. That point is not being made 'clearly'.. It is not being made at all.
That may even be the ultimate goal, -- 'The United States of North America'.. Patterned after the EU, no doubt.

That may even be the ultimate goal, -- 'The United States of North America'.. Patterned after the EU, no doubt. Very well could be the goal although it would never work. All the movement of people would be northward while the wealth went south. And I think the supporters of such a scheme know it.
