And I don't support those politicians that continue to encourage illegal immigration. That includes Bush

Yeah, yeah, I already know you support your new savior hillary.

And trying to get these people doing honest hard working jobs above ground isn't pushing illegal immigration, but trying to bring sanity to a system that has been out of whack for 40 years.

I'm not surprised you are for the current insane staus quo, or the equally insane neo-khruschev idea of a new berlin wall.

Hey, if President Bush can be accused of pandering to voters then unionized Federal government employees can be seen as shilling for their own job security.

Sorry, I've never said I support hillary. Of course, you know this, but you're not an honest poster and enjoy lying. What I did say was that if she introduced a good immigration bill, I would support it. Unlike you, I can look beyond the person sponsor of the bill and support it, if it's a good bill. As I said then, that does not equate support for hillary, regardless of how you want to spin it.

And trying to get these people doing honest hard working jobs above ground isn't pushing illegal immigration, but trying to bring sanity to a system that has been out of whack for 40 years.

History has shown us that any form of amnesty encourages more illegal immigration. While you’ll never admit it, his guest worker program will do just that. It will do nothing to stop the flow of illegals across the border and it will do nothing to stop or identify terrorists.

I’m glad the President wants to bring sanity to the system, but his plan will not accomplish what he wants. This is a good example of Bush failing to accomplish border control.

I'm not surprised you are for the current insane staus quo, or the equally insane neo-khruschev idea of a new berlin wall.

Sorry, dane, I’m not for the status quo, nor do I want a new berlin wall. Yes, walls work. That’s been proven time and time again through the years. Is a wall the answer to the problem, no and I’ve never said it was. When properly deployed, walls work. Some areas of the border could use walls and some areas don’t need walls, but with out revamping our immigration system, walls won’t accomplish much. I’ve been saying that for years.

The entire immigration system needs to be scraped. These little piece meal bills the President and Congress keep introducing won’t fix the problem, they just shift the problem off to someone else to take care of later.

You are responding to a response to my post. In that post I asked, "are Americans going to be asked if they want those jobs the undocumented workers have held for years? I thought Americans had to be asked first then the search for 'willing workers' began."

Here I was referring to the "guest worker" plan that promises that Americans will be asked first before the ILLEGAL immigrant-cum-guest worker can be legally hired under the plan.

The "guest worker" plan may be fine (though unnecessary in my opinion) for temporary work but what about undocumented workers who have careers? Would you have the "guest worker" plan renege on the promise to ask Americans first?
