To: Do not dub me shapka broham

I'm not convinced we need to restrict immigration, but we do need to register these people so we know who they are. A guest worker program would do that. That way we can separate between those that just want to work and others that might be bad news for America. President Bush is absolutely right about this and I support him 100%

This would be a good idea, if that were the intention of the people who devised the concept of amnesty.

However, I doubt that the DOJ is going to use any prospective registry to prosecute-or deport-convicted criminals and/or potential terrorists.

No, one of the purposes of it is to control the numbers to match available jobs.This is necessary to prevent social disruption and crime as a result. That is what we have now.

After implementation, the numbers would be reduced as a result and that is needed badly.

Wrong. First off, a guest worker program is not a registration program, and secondly only people who want you to know they are here will register.

Those that wish to remain anonymous will do so without impunity.
